If what your looking for is baremetal recovery then WHS is most likely your cheapest option.

So I think your looking at more like $100+ per machine. I don't believe that $79 cost would allow you to backup all 5 of your machines - I do believe you would need a lic for each machine, along with the universal restore to be able to do a bare metal restore.
#ACRONIS TRUE IMAGE 2018 SUPPORT WINDOWS SERVER 2003 SOFTWARE#
I've used the home version of their software before, but I'm not sure if the Workstation version is like Home Server. must work in XP, Vista x32, and Vista 圆4īasically I'm looking for something Just like Windows Home Server, but cheaper if possible, and Acronis doesn't have screen shots on their site. See computer backup status, as well as when each computer was backed up

Manage backups from the server, or from my desktop, so If I want to make a backup that isn't scheduled, I can do it (ala Windows Home Server connector prgram) Have a client connector program, such as Windows Home server that connects the client computers to the server in my garage. Here is a list of things that I must have in the software though if I am to go with it, and I'm not fully sure if Acronis TrueImage has it all. I am looking at Acronis True Image Workstation 9.1 on their site, and it appears that it has many of the same features as WHS. I am looking for a solution to manage backups of the 4 computers that I have in the house, 2 laptops, 2 desktops, plus a 3rd laptop that is here maybe once a month (sisters) I looked at windows home server, but 170$ for another OS is alot of money.
